Skin Detox in Detail
The skin is the largest organ of detox. It is often a backup system when the filtering organs liver, kidneys, lymphatics and spleen are backing up, the skin becomes an organ of elimination. The SALT (skin-associated lymphoid tissue) within the largest organ of the body (the skin) and a component of the MALT (mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue), is rich in lymphatic tissue and as such holds a wealthy reservoir for immune function and detoxification.
